The things installers ask first
Do I need a new website?
No. The calculator goes on the website you've already got, whether that's Wix, WordPress, Squarespace or anything else. It's one line of code, and we put it in for you.
No website at all? We can give you a simple quote page to link from Facebook, Google or the side of the van.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number. Calls you don't answer divert to your Octrel number, which is a two-minute setting on your phone, and that's what sends the text back. If you'd rather, you can put the Octrel number on your ads instead.
What if the estimate's wrong?
It's a price range worked out from your own rates, which you check and sign off before it goes live. Every homeowner is told it's an estimate you'll confirm on a visit.
If your costs change, tell us and we'll update your rates. That's never an extra charge.
Is it legal to text people like this?
Yes, done properly. Every homeowner ticks a box agreeing to be contacted, and we record exactly what they agreed to and when. Anyone who replies STOP never hears from you again, and nothing is sent late at night. That's what UK GDPR and the rules on marketing texts (PECR) ask for.
Who owns the leads?
You do. The enquiries, the customer details and your rates are yours, while you're with us and after. If you leave, you take them with you.
How long am I tied in for?
Three months to start with, so it has time to prove itself. After that it's month to month with 30 days' notice. You pay monthly by card, and it's all in writing before you sign.
How long does it take to set up?
Usually about a week. Most of that is agreeing your prices. We build the calculator in your colours, you check a few example quotes, and once you're happy it goes live.
Is it only for driveways?
It's built for driveway and paving installers: block paving, resin, tarmac and gravel, and the groundwork under them. If you do other trades too, ask. That's exactly the kind of feedback we want from founding firms.
