Privacy notice
For this website. Last updated 29 September 2026.
The short version: if you ask us for a call back, we keep your details so we can get back to you, and for nothing else. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share your details. We delete them after 24 months.
Who we are
Octrel provides instant-quote and enquiry follow-up systems to UK driveway and paving installers. For the details you give us on this website, we are the data controller.
To ask anything about your data, use the contact form and say it's about privacy.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, business name, mobile, email and message, from the call-back form | To get back to you about Octrel, as you asked | Legitimate interests: replying to someone who asked us to |
| A scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address | To stop automated spam through the form. We can't turn it back into your address. | Legitimate interests: keeping the form usable |
The demo calculator
The calculator on our homepage is a demo for a made-up firm. Whatever you type into it is used to work out a price on screen and is not stored, and it never sends you a text.
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare runs this website.
- Supabase stores the call-back requests, in the EU (Ireland).
- Twilio sends us a text to tell us you've asked for a call.
Each only processes your details on our instructions. Where that involves a transfer outside the UK, it's covered by the UK's approved safeguards (adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum).
How long we keep it
Call-back requests are deleted automatically 24 months after you send them, unless you become a customer. Then your details move to our customer records and the contract you sign explains how we use them.
Cookies
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct them, or to delete them. You can object to us using them. Ask through the contact form and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
